Ordering

There are 4 ways to make a purchase.

1. Outright Purchase
2. Payment Plan
3. Place a Gecko on hold for later payment 
4. Reserve a Hatchling for later delivery

Outright Purchase

If you have found the Gecko you want to purchase, just click on the BUY NOW tab next to any gecko you are interested in purchasing or holding and follow the steps. Its real easy and very secure. When you place an order online your personal and Credit/Debit Card (Visa/Master Card/American Express/Discover, etc) information is encrypted using SSL Encryption Technology. EmberGecko.com This is a safe place to do business. 

You will then receive a payment confirmation from us that we have received your payment.

We will then confirm the desired ship date and arrange to deliver your Gecko. Note, we typically ship on Tuesdays for Wednesday delivery, and Wednesday for Thursday delivery. There is a reason we have chosen these days to ship. Monday we are very busy as we tend to receive lots of orders over the weekend and have to process them for shipping. We don't like to ship later than Wednesday due to the possibility if we ship on a later day your Gecko may be delayed in shipping and then the weekend comes up. This would be bad as your Gecko may not be delivered till the following Monday. This could be a fatal mistake we refuse to make.

Payment Plan

We have a payment plan that is designed to allow you to purchase a Gecko or Several and make payments. Note, we wont ship your Geckos untill they are paid in full. To participate in this program you need to email us at info@embergecko.com and tell us the following:

• Gecko ID#
• Description of Gecko as per our Description. This is to assure we are talking about the right Gecko.
• Tell us how long you want us to hold your Gecko. We need you to complete your purchase within 90 days. While you are paying for your Gecko we will take good care of it, not to worry there.
• After you contact us we will be in touch with you to arrange a payment plan that works for you. You must provide at least a 20% initial payment. The balance can be paid monthly or semi-monthly over a 90 day period..
• We will only allow payment plans for purchases over $300.00 plus shipping.
• Note that there are NO REFUNDS. If you change your mind we will issue you credit for use in another purchase you can make at any time for any Gecko. The only exception is if your Gecko became sick and died, this is a very unlikely scenario, but could happen. Has never happened yet. We will make a full refund ONLY in this situation.
• Once we receive payment in full, we will arrange to ship your Gecko. 

Place a Leopard Gecko on hold

We  have a plan that allows you to place a Gecko on hold till you are ready to complete the purchase. When you are filling out the Secure Order Form there is a box you can check to place an animal on Hold. Check this box and it will automatically collect 25% of the total purchase price, plus any applicable Taxes. Then we will contact you to confirm when you plan to take delivery and pay the balance due. Note we only allow 30 days for held Geckos. 

Reserve a Hatchling

We have a program that allows you to select a Hatchling for future delivery after it grows out to a predetermined size or age. Contact us for more information at info@embergecko.com. We will require a 50% deposit till the predetermined delivery date or weight is reached. We will then collect the balance due and ship your Gecko.

Payment

We accept the following forms of payment:

• Credit or Debit Cards - Most types accepted
• Pay Pal in the future.
• Money Orders or Cashiers Checks - Must be made out to James Steinert. Send to the address below. Make sure you put the SKU # and Description in the email you send us.
• Personal checks - Must be made out to James Steinert. Make sure you put the SKU # and Description in the email you send us. Note, we will place a hold on your transaction  for 10 days until the check clears. We will contact you within 24 hours of receiving payment to make arrangements for delivery after the mandatory 10 days on hold. Send to the address below.
• Wire Transfer - Please contact us and we will provide the wire transfer information. Make sure you put the SKU # and Description in the email you send us. You will need our ABA Routing number and Account number. A wire transfer fee of $15.00 will be added to your order

Shipping in the USA

All Geckos are shipped either UPS or Fed Ex overnight. Live delivery Guaranteed. We charge $60.00 per shipment up to 20 Geckos per shipment.

We do ship in approved insulated live animal shipping box's. In some cases due to weather we may include a heat/cold pack in the box.

Shipments are delivered to a local shipping hub in the afternoons to assure your animal spends the least amount of time in transit. Then the following day you will receive delivery. Note that if there is a delivery delay, you are responsible to contact the shipper using the Tracking Number we will provide you before your shipment goes out.

International Orders 

At this time we don't provide international shipping service. However you may use an independent exporter that has the proper permits to ship Leopard Geckos internationally. All associated costs of shipping internationally will be born by the buyer and once we deliver your  order to the exporter live, we are then no longer responsible for the health of the Geckos. At some point in the future we do plan to have an exporter that we can recommend for your use. For those of you interested in this service please let us know and we will keep you updated as to when we can handle your orders.

Canadian Orders

Canadian orders are treated the same as international orders. There is one way to simplify this: If you live nearby the USA/Canadian border or have a friend who does, you could drive over the border and pick up your shipment in most any city in the USA. We will just ship you Geckos to a nearby Fed Ex/UPS drop point for your pick up.
