Embers

We are anchoring our site with our Snake Eyed Ember Leopard Gecko, Male "Quagmire". Pictured as the background image on this page.

We acquired him from Ron Tremper. He is just over Giant weight at 87 grams. We also have two more Red Eyed Ember Leopard Gecko, Male breeders in the program, 104 and 95 grams.

Quagmire our male Ember is the first Leopard Gecko that truly caught my attention and I have to say that to this day I still feel that a beautiful Ember is one of the most beautiful of all the Leopard Gecko Morphs.  Clearly I love this guy, after all I did name this site after this Morph.The bright yellow color is amazing and the eyes are beautiful. He has a very good temperament and likes to be handled. He is also pictured on the Main home page.

 I want to say "Thank you" to Garrick DeMeyer for creating the Ember Leopard Gecko. I truly love them. 

Our main goal with our Ember Program is to produce a nice group of Giant and Super Giant Leopard Gecko Embers.  Would love to see some interesting morphs.

Leopard Gecko Ember morphs we hope to have for 2012:

  • Ember Leopard Geckos - Snake Eyed and Red Eyed - Super Giant and Giants - Note, a Super Giant leopard gecko male weighs over 110 grams, where a Giant leopard gecko weighs between 80 and 110 grams. Any weight below is considered a Normal. Female Super Giant leopard geckos weigh over 90 grams, and a Giant leopard gecko weighs between 60 and 90 grams. Any weight below is considered a Normal. 
  • Ember Glows - Snake Eyed and Red Eyed - We will produce a limited amount of Ember Glows in 2012, we should have about 50% display Snake eyes and Red eyes, with the other 50% Het for Eyes or Aptor if you wish. Also have a Twitter account that will provide updates.
  • White headed - Super Giant and Giant Snake Eyed and Red Eyed Embers -I have seen Tremper Patterless Albinos (TPA) that have a totally white head with a yellow body and a brighter yellow tail. I have saved and acquired several breeder females that I hope will produce an example that we can further develop to create a White Headed Ember. Will post updates as the project develops.
  • Enigma - Super Giant and Giant Snake Eyed and Red Eyed Embers - We did produce a small amout of Enigmas from our Ember program last year and have in fact held back a very beautiful male. We have selected two very large females to breed with him. Will post updates as the next season progreses.

Note: Some of the above mentioned Programs may take several seasons of breeding to accomplish. Some Programs may never be realized, while others will be highly successful.
