Bandits & Bolds

Bandits and Bolds:  This Morph has such a wide variety of color and pattern. When you are lucky enough to encounter a stand out Bandit or Bold, you are seeing the best that Leopard Gecko breeding has to offer. Every Gecko has something unique and special to appreciate. We do have available Bandit and Bold Leopard Geckos for sale.

Why is a Bandit a Bandit and a Bold a Bold?

  • Bandits = They have a band across their nose, have higher  color contrast than a Bold, and they keep a higher level of black as an adult leopard gecko.
  • Bolds = Looks like a Bandit without a complete band across the nose.

Morph Types:

  • Striped
  • Reverse Striped
  • Jungle
  • Banded
  • Lavender mixed into any of the above body patterns.

2017 Breeding Program goal:Our main goal with our Bandit and Bold Leopard Gecko Breeding Program is to produce a group of hatchlings that represent a wide variety of patterns and color traits. Certainly it would be nice to see some interesting body and head patterns as well as some Giants and Super Giants.

Update: We currently have many sub - adults and adults available for sale. I will post Bandits and Bolds available for sale and updates on the Home page. you can also follow us on Twitter, we are Ember Gecko.

Size: 42 Grams as of 12/14/2017. She has to weigh 60 grams for females within the first 12 months of growth to be considered a Giant. Possible Super Giant!

Color: the Albino Mack Snows show White Albino body color displaying Stripes and Jungle patterns OR The non-Albinos display White and yellow body color with Black Marking with Stripes, bands and Jungle patterns. Tails tend to have either a stepped or Jungle pattern. Eyes are silver albino eyes on the Albino snows and gray black on the non-albinos!

Genetics: Based on 100% John and Amy Mack Bloodlines I purchased from Ron Tremper. Ron bred for size and the Mack’s he produces and larger than the original Mack bloodlines! The breeding group for the most part are all Giant in size. Even though giant genetics don’t truly apply to Mack’s I use this as a reference to their size anyway. Giant to Giant = 25% Super Giants, 50% Giants and 25% Normals. Note most of our Snows will grow out to Giant and Super Giant size assuming they are fed correctly and provided the correct vitamin supplements during the main growth phase of the first 12 to 18 months.

Breeding: Best to breed Mack Snows to Mack Snows to produce Mack Snows. Another good match would be to breed to Mack Super Snows that would give you a nice mix of Snows, and Super Snows.

There are different results when breeding Mack Snows. Listed below are different possible combinations.

Mack Snow x Mack Snow - 25% Super Snow, 50% Mack Snow, 25% Wild Type Mack Snow x Normal - 50% Mack Snow,50% Wild Type Super Snow x Normal - 100% Mack Snow Super Snow x Mack Snow - 50% Super Snow,50% Mack Snow Super Snow x Super Snow - 100% Super Snow

Special Marks: Eyes are silver albino eyes on the Albino snows and Gray black on the non-albinos!

Comments: She will make a fine addition to any collection/breeding program you may be working on. Our Mack Snows are fine examples of their Morph type. You should expect larger size from our Mack’s!

Size:  73 Grams as of 12/4/17.  He has to weigh 80 gram for male within the first 12 months of growth to be considered a Giant.  Possible Super Giant!

Color:  White and Yellow body color with high contrast Black Stripes or Jungle Patterns. Tails tend to be Black on white with Stripes, Jungle or bands. Some display Orange on the tail. All Bandits have a Black stripe on the nose.  Bolds do not have the band on the nose and display slightly less color contrast. To be a Bandit they must have the stripe on the nose! We also feature a version that is Lavender Striped!

Genetics:  Based on 100% Tremper Bloodlines, line bred over 12 seasons..  All of our original breeders we used to create this group were acquired from Ron Tremper. These Bandits/Bolds are considered Ron Trempers signature morph and what he is most know for!. The breeding group for the most part are all  Giants.   Giant to Giant = 25% Super Giants,  50%  Giants  and 25% Normals.  Note most of our Bandits/Bolds will grow out to Giants assuming they are fed correctly and provided the correct vitamin supplements during the main growth phase of the first 12 to 18 months.

Breeding:  Best to breed Tremper Bandits/Bolds  to Tremper Bandits/bolds to produce Tremper Bandits/Bolds.  Another option when breeding is to breed to line bred Snows to produce a nice mix of Bandits/Bolds/Snows and Albino Snows.  Note that our Bandits produce about 80% Bandits to 20% Bolds.

Special Marks: Band across the nose and high contrast color!

Comments:  He will make a fine addition to any collection/breeding program you may be working on. Our Tremper Bandits/Bolds are fine examples of their Morph type. Rare Valuable Morph
