RAPTORS/APTORS

2017 Breeding Season Update - Raptors have truly amazed this season. Color and pattern variation has been better than ever. We have had amazing results with two new projects, the Tangerine Raptor and Stone Washed Raptor projects. We have also produced a fair quantity of Pastel Raptors. 2017 is sure to be lots of fun. Watch this group close, we plan to amaze you in 2017.

Pastel Raptors - We purchased 5 Lavender Raptors from Ron Tremper in 2012, we have had great results with breeding them, and have posted some of the hatchlings for this season. Real happy with them.

Stone Washed Raptors - We produced a nice group of Stone Washed Raptors this season. First year, so no postings. Will have a good group with one male, and 3 females for 2016.  Also produced some real nice Stone Washed Albinos. Check the Albino page for more on this.

Tangerine Raptors - This season was a great success for our Tangerine Raptor Project, we have 2 solid, big males. 10 females. Expect a large group for 2016. Real excited on this one. Took four years to achieve.

RAPTOR stands for Red-Eyed Albino Patternless Tremper ORange. A RAPTOR is a Red-Eyed Albino Leopard Gecko with a light Orange colored body and a darker Orange tail. In saying that, there have been many interesting variations of this morph created over the years. We do have many available Raptor Leopard Geckos for sale.

Morph Types:

  • Tangerine Raptor Leopard Geckos - New Morph
  • Pastel Raptor Leopard Geckos - New Morph
  • Stone Washed Raptor Leopard Geckos - New Morph
  • Patternless Raptor Leopard Geckos
  • Striped Raptor Leopard Geckos
  • Reverse Striped Raptor Leopard Geckos
  • Jungle Raptor Leopard Geckos
  • Banded Raptor Leopard Geckos
  • Sunglow Raptor Leopard Geckos
  • XTreme Raptor Leopard Geckos
  • Extreme Emerine Raptor Leopard Geckos

History:  RAPTORS were first created by Ron Tremper in 2004. Unlike some morphs RAPTOR's are a combination morph. They are a combination of the Eclipse morph, the Patternless morph, and the Tremper Albino morphs. Since the creation of the first RAPTOR there have been some very interesting morphs that include the Red Eyes and Snake Eyes of the RAPTOR.

2017 Breeding Program Goal:  Our main goal with our RAPTOR breeding Program is to produce a nice group of Super Giants and Giants that display the widest range of pattern and color. We have had very good luck in seeing a high percentage of our Raptors displaying Lavender on their bodies and heads. We are additionally working on some interesting morphs for the 2017 season.

Update:  We currently have many hatchlings, sub-adults and adults posted for sale. I will post RAPTOR Leopard Geckos available for sale and updates on the Home page. you can also follow us on Twitter, we are Ember Gecko.

Stay tuned for updates. Feel free to let me know if you have an interest in a certain morph or project we are working on and I will try to give you regular updates.

This morph is the result of four different genes coming together. Mack Snow, Tremper Albino, Eclipse and Patternless Stripe.

Size:  121 Grams as of 9/20/17.  He has to weigh 110 grams for male within the first 12 months of growth to be considered aSuper Giant.

Color:  the Albino Mack Snows show White Albino body color displaying Stripes and Jungle patterns OR The non-Albinos display White and yellow body color with Black Marking with Stripes, bands  and Jungle patterns. Tails tend to have either a stepped or Jungle pattern. Eyes are silver albino eyes on the Albino snows and gray black on the non-albinos!

Genetics:  Based on 100% John and Amy Mack Bloodlines I purchased from Ron Tremper.  Ron bred for size and the Mack’s he produces and larger than the original Mack bloodlines! The breeding group for the most part are all  Giant in size.   Even though giant genetics don’t truly apply to Mack’s I use this as a reference to their size anyway. Giant to Giant = 25% Super Giants,  50%  Giants  and 25% Normals.  Note most of our Snows will grow out to Giant  and Super Giant size assuming they are fed correctly and provided the correct vitamin supplements during the main growth phase of the first 12 to 18 months.

Breeding:  Best to breed Mack Snows to Mack Snows to produce Mack Snows.  Another good match would be to breed to Mack Super Snows that would give you a nice mix of Snows, and Super Snows.

There are different results when breeding Mack Snows. Listed below are different possible combinations.

Mack Snow x Mack Snow - 25% Super Snow, 50% Mack Snow, 25% Wild Type Mack Snow x Normal - 50% Mack Snow,50% Wild Type Super Snow x Normal - 100% Mack Snow Super Snow x Mack Snow - 50% Super Snow,50% Mack Snow Super Snow x Super Snow - 100% Super Snow

Special Marks: Eyes are silver albino eyes on the Albino snows and Gray black on the non-albinos!

Comments:  He will make a fine addition to any collection/breeding program you may be working on. Our Mack Snows are fine examples of their Morph type.  You should expect larger than size from our Mack’s!

Some of the Albino snows display Red veining in the eyes.

Genetics:  Based on 100% Tremper Bloodlines, line bred over many seasons..  All of our original breeders we used to create this group were acquired from Ron Tremper. I offer these because they make a great project gecko for our customers.  You can breed them to any Raptor or Raptor Het to get Raptors or you can create your own project with them. We have found they cross real well with Tremper Pastels? Geckos produced with these Hets do carry some unique body markings. They will display a circle on their lower back and many times will express a green tint in color!

Special Marks: Gray Sliver eyes typical of a Hypo Tangerine Designer!

Comments:  She will make a fine addition to any collection/breeding program you may be working on. Our Raptor Het – Tangerine’s are fine examples of their Morph type.  These geckos are a rare morph and carry high value due to possibilities they offer breeders!
